Brief information

On track-laying machines with a MWK machine warning combination, employees are warned in good time of approaching rail vehicles despite high machine noise levels. The machine warning system receives warning triggers from upstream warning systems such as LOWS, ATWS or SCWS and outputs them at the warning devices on the track-laying machine. If necessary, accompanying monitoring stations indicate special dangerous situations by means of a warning and thus provide additional protection for the employees.

Important features

ERRI and radio interface

The machine warning system can be controlled directly by radio from a Minimel Lynx EZE-L or by using the standardised ERRI interface.

Adjustable volume

During commissioning, the machine noise along the track-laying machine is measured and the volume of each warning device along de machine is adjusted accordingly. This ensures that employees can hear the warning signal despite the high level of machine noise, but at the same time the warning signal is not emitted at an unnecessarily high volume. The maximum possible volume is 126dB(A).

Individual volume adjustment

During commissioning, the machine noise along the track-laying machine is measured and the volume of each warning device along the machine is adjusted accordingly. This ensures that employees can hear the warning signal despite the high level of machine noise, but at the same time the warning signal is not emitted at an unnecessarily high volume. The maximum possible volume is 126dB(A).

Warning lights

Warning lights such as rotary lights and flashing lights are controlled and monitored by the control unit of the machine-warning combination.
