Brief information

The Minimel Lynx-EZE-L controls the warning state of the system. Strike-in points count the amount of trains via hand switch or treadles. Appropriate warning terms are sent via radio to the warning devices. The devices communicate bidirectionally. The current states of the strike-in points and all warning devices are monitored by the EZE-L.

Important features

Automatic operation

The system can be used for fully automatic operation. In contrast to the semi-automatic mode, it does not need an operator. Trains are automatically read in during the announcement and automatically read out after passing through the worksite.

Large radio range

A strength of the device is the stable radio transmission. A range of up to 6200m can be achieved. Practice has shown that even in topologically difficult terrain and over large distances a functionally reliable connection is ensured. The use of a repeater can double the range again. By means of bidirectional radio, the current states of strike-in points and all warning devices are monitored by the EZE-L. The existing Minimel 95 warning devices can be unidirectionally integrated.

Multiple systems using the same radio channel

Several Lynx systems can operate smoothly side by side using the same radio channel. This means that up to 5 systems can be used at the same frequency without interference.

Radio channel scan

When starting, the radio channel is scanned. It is checked whether the set frequency is already being used by another radio unit. If the frequency is being used, then this will be indicated to the operator on the display.

Manual train announcement

The operator can also manually count the trains in the EZE-L. This method can be used when there is a good view and visibility of trains on the approaching line (e.g. for vegetation clearance).
