Brief information

On large construction sites, conversion trains are used for track renewal. These generate large noise peaks. An efficient and environmentally friendly type of warning system for this application is the Minimel machine warning system. The warning system is permanently installed on the conversion train. This allows the acoustic warning devices to be ideally positioned near the noise source. This enables an optimal warning with minimal acoustic levels and thus minimal environmental pollution.

The Minimel Machine Warning System MWS is typically used on construction sites with a spatial extension of several hundred metres or, especially in the case of track renewal, also on construction sites with a much larger extension, divided into individual warning sectors of several hundred metres in length.

Application example

The Minimel machine warning system is a radio-based warning device from the point of view of the controlling field-side warning system. The control can therefore be carried out by manually triggered warning systems (LOWS), automatic warning systems (ATWS) or interlocking-based warning systems (SCWS).
